Welcome to the Visa Service of the Embassy of India, Ankara

Applicants are advised to send an email to consular@indembassy.org.tr in case of any queries regarding visa or difficulty in getting required appointment date.
Online Visa
Online Visa application has been introduced by Embassy of India, Ankara with effect from 5th Feb 2013.
All applicants are requested to visit the website http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ for applying visas online. Applicants are also requested to apply online for their visa at least 20 days prior to their scheduled date of travel. 
No handwritten visa application would be accepted by the Embassy.
All visa applicants need to visit the Embassy in person with the requisite documents to submit the online application form with photo uploaded and enroll for Biometric. Please note that applications without the requisite documents and online application without photo uploaded will not be acceptable.

While filling the application, follow the steps given below
1.    Open the website http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/ and click on the Online Visa Application Registration button given below.
2.    A separate window opens and a Temporary Application ID is provided. You need to fill up all the details online and continue to next pages.
3.    On the last page please upload your recent photo. For details of photo, click on the Photo Requirement button on the left side the home page.

4.    The duly signed copy of the application form completed in all respect and submitted successfully, is to be submitted at Embassy of India, Ankara, on the scheduled date of interview along with the requisite supporting documents and fees.

Important Information:  Please note that satellite telephone services are not permitted in India.  Therefore, people including tourists found to be making unauthorized use of Thuraya satellite telephone services will be prosecuted and all the sets found in possession of any individual will be seized. Foreigners visiting India  are advised not to carry  satellite phones with them.

All foreigners travelling to India should strictly abide by the local laws. All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport or UN Laissez Faire with a valid visa obtained from an Indian Mission or Post abroad.
This Embassy requires one working day to process your visa application if you are a Turkish national or a bonafide resident of Turkey. However, if you are not a Turkish national or a long-term resident of Turkey, a maximum period of three working days is required to process the case.
Applicants living in following areas are requested to submit their Visa Applications at Consulate General of India, Istanbul:
Istanbul, Edirne, Kirklareli, Tekirdag, Kocaeli, Bursa, Yalova, Balikesir and Canakkale.
All visa seekers are required to apply in the prescribed online form for visa. The application, complete in all respects, with 2 passport-size photographs and passport (original) alongwith photocopy of the passport (first 2 pages) and other documents as required, should be submitted with the prescribed fee at the designated counter on any working day.

Working hours of Visa counter: 10.00 am to 11.30 am.
Delivery of Visa stamped Passports : 05.00 pm to 05.30 pm
Fees for visa service are accepted at the Embassy in cash in US Dollars (Please tender exact amount).  For any clarification or further information, please e-mail as at consular@indembassy.org.tr

Gratis (free of charge) Visas are issued to those holding Diplomatic or Official passports travelling for official visits and to persons of the following nationalities: Afghanistan, Argentina, Bangladesh, People's Republic of Korea, Jamaica, Maldives, Mauritius,  South Africa and Uruguay.
Nationals of Nepal and Bhutan do not require visa to enter India.
"e-Tourist Visa (eTV) Scheme"   e-TOURIST VISA (eTV)

e-Tourist Visa Facility is available for holders of passport of following countries:

Eligibility
International Travellers whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, short duration medical treatment or casual business visit.
Passport should have at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer.
International Travellers should have return ticket or onward journey ticket, with sufficient money to spend during his/her stay in India.
International Travellers having Pakistani Passport or Pakistani origin may please apply for regular Visa at Indian Mission.
e-TV is not available to Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders.
Not available to individuals endorsed on Parent’s/Spouse’s Passport i.e. each individual should have a separate passport.
Not available to International Travel Document Holders.
Fee for eTV
A fee of US $ 60/- or an equivalent amount in Indian rupees per passenger (including children) will be charged from each foreigner for the grant of eTV.
Please ensure the following, when submitting your application:
Passport should be valid for a minimum of six months beyond the date of intended departure from India. 
Paste one photo and staple the other one on the form at the specified place.
The application forms should be filled only in English. Please fill all columns and do not leave any column blank.
Each visa application is considered on its merits and the Embassy may ask for additional information at any stage during the processing of the application. Submission of application along with prescribed fee does not guarantee issuance of visa.

Visa types and Fees
* With effect from 01.04.2017 the visa fees chargeable is mentioned against each visa service. 
* With effect from 15.06.2011, a service charge of US $2.00 would be charged in addition to the fees against each visa service.
* Visa fee is non-refundable and subject to change without notice.
* The Embassy of India, Ankara reserves the right on granting and deciding type/duration of visa irrespective of the fees tendered at the time of making application.

PAKISTAN NATIONALS
Application form specific for Pakistani nationals (Duplicate).
Mandatory Attested Sponsorship Certificate from India with details of the Indian sponsor.
Two recent passport size photographs.
Current and all previous passports.
Photocopy of the passport with the relevant pages, including residence visa page.
Documentary evidence establishing the relationship with the contacts in India.
Documentary evidence in case of other reasons for travel.
Please ensure the following, while submitting your Indian visa application:
Original Passport and photocopies of relevant pages.
Verifiable addresses and phone numbers of the contacts in India need to be clearly mentioned.
Entry & Exit points need to be clearly mentioned and has to be same.
Address and phone number in Pakistan.
6 months validity should be there in the passport.
Minimum 2 blank visa pages in the passport.
2 Passport size recent photographs.
Online visa application form duly filled in and signed by the applicant.
Copy of the residence permit issued by the Turkish government.

Note:- Non-Residents are not eligible.

AFGHAN NATIONALS
Application in duplicate in the form specific for Afghani nationals.
Two recent passport size photographs.
Original Passport.
Photocopy of the passport with the relevant pages, including residence visa page.
Please ensure the following, while submitting your Indian visa application.
Original Passport with photocopies of relevant pages and copy of Taskara (ID card) for Afghan nationals. 
6 months validity should be there in the passport.
Minimum 2 blank visa pages in the passport.
2 Passport size recent photographs.
Visa application form duly filled in capital letters and signed by the applicant.
Copy of the resident permit issued Turkish government.
Note: - Validity of the visa is effective from the date of issue. Each visa application is considered on its merits and the Indian Embassy may ask for additional information at any stage during the processing of the application. Submission of application along with prescribed fee does not guarantee issuance of visa. Non-Residents are not eligible.
Visa applicants are required to submit their own bank statements proving financial ability to pay all costs of the trip. In case of minor applicant (aged 15 and below) or a dependent, if they do not have individual bank account then they can submit bank statement of their parents/ spouse/ children.
Applicants should apply for appropriate category of visa. Visas of tourist visa holders found to be travelling for other purposes such as business, study or medical treatment are liable to be cancelled and they may be denied future visa services. 
All Afghan nationals are required to register within 14 days of their arrival in India with the FRROs at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Amritsar and Kolkata. 
Business visa is issued from the country of origin, or from the country of domicile of the foreigner, provided the period of permanent residence of that applicant in that particular country is more than two years.

BANGLADESH NATIONALS
Application in duplicate in form specific for Bangladeshi nationals (Note: The entry, exit points need to be clearly mentioned and has to be the same.)
Three recent passport size photographs.
Original Passport.
Photocopy of the passport with the relevant pages, including residence visa page.

Please ensure the following, while submitting your Indian visa application.
Original Passport and photocopies of relevant pages.
6 months validity should be there in the passport.
Minimum 2 blank visa pages in the passport.
2 Passport size recent photographs.
Online visa application form duly filled in and signed by the applicant.
Copy of the residence permit issued by the Turkish government

Details for Other Nationalities

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
The duration of stay in India, for each visit on a tourist visa or business visa is only for a period of 6 months even though a visa may be valid for more than 6 months.
Visa is given for a period for which passport is valid. Validity of all visas is counted from the date of their issue. Mission reserves the right regarding the duration of visa and number of entries.
Type of visa issued to foreign journalist: All foreign journalists, regardless of the purpose of their visit should apply for Journalist Visa (“J” Visa), except for those journalists who are employed by Indian media houses.

RE-ENTRY WITHIN TWO MONTHS ON TOURIST VISA
There shall be a gap of at least 2 (two) months between two visits to India on a Tourist Visa on re-entry of nationals of Afghanistan, China, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, foreigners of Pakistan origin and Stateless persons.
